When dreaming and designing the Barrel Restaurant, we paid special attention to creating this special and truly natural environment for the young couple and the wedding crowd facing the happiest day of their lives. The harmonious, detailed event space does not require as many flowers, paper pulp or even a background wall for photography, so it is absolutely ideal – a unique and cost-effective solution.
How to start?
No matter how perfect and informative a website is, we definitely recommend that you have a personal meeting, as this will minimize the number of problems that may arise later. We believe that every wedding is different, the needs can change in pairs, which can be easily solved by our prepared colleagues – with the huge routine and enthusiasm behind them. It is very important to map the restaurant perfectly – from the design of the photo points to the exact location of the band, it is worth walking through every cent and figuring out the needs of the wedding crowd together. From the very beginning, it is worth asking ourselves the most important question, how much time and energy we will have for the organizational tasks. A wedding planner or venue specializing in events will not only be up-to-date on market participants, but even after the first meeting you will know which band, decorator, best man or even a confectioner can make the wedding perfect.
None left hungry!
No matter how beautiful the bride and Brad Pitt’s imitation of the groom are, guests will really remember two things: the food and the music. If the wedding crowd goes home hungry, it will be hard years to cheerfully nostalgize about this wonderful day. So we can safely say that perhaps the most important item not worth saving for is what goes on the table of the guests. The cuisine of our restaurant is also prepared for the most special dishes, but of course the traditional – real wedding dishes and flavors cannot be missed either. It is important to draw attention to today’s renewed eating habits, based on which we can say for sure that the wish list of a company of 60-80 people will never be exactly homogeneous, which is why it is worth thinking ahead and smuggling a little twist into the classic menu bar. Gluten and milk are sensitive, and vegan and vegetarian foods affect a much larger audience than we think, by no means escape our fact!
As already mentioned, we think that every wedding is different, which is why we do not necessarily think that menu bar clichés should be used, our trained chefs will try to fulfill all kinds of individual requests.
Who leads the way?
A master of ceremonies can help a lot, as his most important task, beyond guiding the wedding crowd, is to bring together the work of different providers. A real best man is the alpha and omega of the whole day, sometimes coordinating problems almost imperceptibly and adapting the program to the clientele with his huge routine, and sometimes becoming the center of the company with monologues and various hilarious tasks that embarrass stand up comedians. Its role is invaluable, so we think you have to be very careful when choosing it. Of course, we have also worked with a lot of “stage masters”, and if needed, our colleagues can give useful advice on finding the best solution for the wedding party.
A memorable moment!
One is lucky, because the most beautiful experiences can burn into both long-term memory and the retina, but we do best when we really entrust the most important moments of our lives to professionals. Remember, the latest technical advances and smartphones can take flawless photos and videos, but they can’t replace the vision and readiness of a specialist photographer and videographer. A big distinction must be made between fiancé photography and real “sharp” events, as there is no possibility of repetition and error correction during civil and temple ceremonies. Our view is that it is worth looking around the “market” of photographers, and after viewing the reference photos, we can successfully select the right style and artist for us. Nowadays, more and more people are taking advantage of the possibility of video recording, many well-known professionals are engaged in making wedding image videos and mood videos, which can even be colored with drone recordings.

A good band will perfectly forget with the army everything that can be annoyed at the end of a long day, whether the uncomfortable shoes are pushing their feet, they have been traveling for long hours, lounging in the church or they are just warm.
But then who should we ask to guarantee the atmosphere during the evening?
Let’s think about who we invited to the big day and knowing the composition of the guests, we can more easily figure out what kind of music the wedding party will start with. Countless wedding bands, one-man DJs, or even a band of professional musicians – all in every style. As we have already discussed, the success of a wedding is determined by the food and the soles, for this reason we can only advise that it is really not worth saving for this.
Man from far away…
No, we don’t end the sentence like the “gentle reader” expects! People, relatives and friends from far away need accommodation, so it is advisable to choose a place where the accommodation of the wedding crowd can be arranged in comfortable conditions. Our apartments above our restaurant are well-suited for this role, whether it’s a distant grandmother or a big family with three children. The Park Hotel’s room offer can guarantee the relaxation of the entire guest.
Why us?
It’s hard to give a really striking and good answer to this, but somehow we still try. The Barrel Restaurant has been the site of a restaurant for almost 100 years, which has been home to many happy and touching moments in this century. We want to age these wonderful traditions and we believe that we too can set the high standard set by our ancestors. The combination of our well-prepared team of professionals and our carefully designed interior, which can accommodate almost 130 people, is what sets us apart from the available selection. The park built in the back of the restaurant – an inexhaustible storehouse of combinable possibilities – the unadulterated hospitality of Bük and the fact that we also function as a hotel – forms a complex unit that really makes us suitable for all guest needs.
